XXXV Collective founder and CEO had the opportunity to meet Diddy at the Revolt offices. Seoul is a part of the finance team at Revolt and the Chairman himself was in attendance for a board meeting. After the meeting the Bad Boy founder allotted time for his staff to chat with him one-on-one. We'll let her tell you about the experience first hand:
Since I was 11 years old I knew that I was an entrepreneur. I used to have my mom buy candy from Costco and sell it to make extra money to buy stuff or save for a rainy day. So, when I was tasked with writing an essay about what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was easy for me to say 'a CEO of my own entertainment company'. At the time I looked up to Oprah and Diddy, and continued throughout my life to use their moves as blueprints to my own success. Life has had its ups and downs, but being given the opportunity to work for Revolt was amazing and made me feel like I was exactly where I needed to be. However, meeting the chairman himself further solidified that feeling.
Our meeting was brief and I of course thanked him for the opportunity as a black woman to work for one of the most diverse companies in the world where the possibilities are endless. But, I did tell him that my dreams and goal were only halfway accomplished with the position. He asked what the other half was and I said "to build my own empire bigger than yours". To that he replied, "then, let's go!". Challenge accepted.
